Electric laboratory of the group of companies "Fire Union" offers services on measurement of electrical parameters in electrical installations
(electrical measurement laboratory).

Provided service is necessary after the completion of electrical installation works both in new buildings and facilities of various functional purposes and reconstructed buildings. As well as for all electrical installations (distribution cabinets and switchboards) in the operation annually.

The purpose of such tests and measurements is the detection of defects and errors in the process of electrical installation works in switchgear (electrical cabinets and panels), elements of which are automatic protection, residual-current device (RCD), grounding bus, etc.

When testing one should pay special attention to insulation resistance and grounding device condition (Ground circuit test, Measurement of Electric Equipment Metal Connection Resistance). The safe operation of the cable lines depends on these characteristics.

The electrical laboratory "Fire Union" carries out electrical acceptance tests, preventive (periodic) and operational testing and survey of electrical installations in buildings, structures of all purposes up to 1000 V.

Standard (recommended) tests are:

� Insulation resistance test is carried out during commissioning of electrical installations and their subsequent operation. These tests are necessary to identify defects of cable lines, that appear during their production and as a result of storage standards violation and carrying out electrical installation works, which may cause casualties and fires, as well as financial losses resulting from deenergizing.

� Bootleg ground test is carried out during commissioning of electrical installations and their subsequent operation. These tests are necessary to measure the maximum permissible current in relation to automatic protection and the cross-section of the conductor. This test allows you to prevent the heating of cable lines because of overload. In other words, the maximum current in the conductor should be higher than the maximum current in the residual-current devices.

� Residual-current devices test is held during commissioning of electrical installations and their subsequent operation (if there is a residual-current devices). RCDs are designed to exclude/minimize the consequences of the impact of electric shock. These tests can detect deviations in disconnection time of residual-current device when short circuit.

� Grounding device resistance test is carried out during commissioning of electrical installations and their subsequent operation. These tests should confirm that in the event of circuit of live conductors to the housing of connected devices and equipment, electrical current will pass through the earthing switch, that has a smaller conductor resistance towards the other objects, including the human body.

� Check of the presence of circuit between earthing switches and the grounding element (Electric Equipment Metal Connection) is held during commissioning of electrical installations and their subsequent operation for consumers requiring a separate ground loop (a separate ground of the metal parts of equipment). Measurement, as well as "Resistance measurement of grounding devices", ensure safe operation of electrical equipment.

� Emergency back-up power devices test. These tests are necessary for the automatic transfer switch in electrical devices, providing the processes affecting the health and lives of people and ensure uninterrupted operation in the spheres, related to the risk of large financial losses because of disconnection.

Before testing, visual inspection of electrical installations is needed to identify violations of the requirements for electrical installations and proper installation. This item is required to ensure safety when performing measurements.

According to test results the technical report is provided in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia (Rostechnadzor).

2. Insulation resistance test of electrical machines, secondary circuits and wiring with voltage up to 1kV.

4. Check of the "zero-phase" circuit of electrical installations up to 1 kV according to TN system.

5. Residual-current device (RCD) test.

6. Emergency back-up power devices test.

7. Test of power cable lines with voltage up to 1kV.

8. Test of devices for lightning protection.
